Press Release Summary: Johannesburg, South Africa - Goscor Lift Truck Company, Crown
lift truck distributor in Southern Africa, announced the launch of a new range low
level order pickers.

Press Release Body: Crowns engineers designed the GPC 3000 series low-level order
pickers after a thorough analysis of the order picking process. The analysis done by
Crown\'s experts showed that up to 90 percent of the time performing tasks (walking,
picking, loading, labeling, counting and wrapping) during the picking cycle take
place off the truck. Crown focused on improving a number of features aimed at
reducing and simplifying the operators movement while performing \"off-truck\" tasks
with the ultimate goal of achieving 100% efficiency during all picking tasks.

This resulted in the production of a low level order picker series that makes
picking faster and easier. The GPC 3000 Series range from an economic entry-level
model with a 2000 kg load capacity to a full-featured 2700 kg load capacity order
picker. The Series comes with a lot of optional extras and choices ranging from a
range of fork lengths to choose from, different battery compartment sizes and
optional features. This low level order picker range also includes models capable of
lifting one or two pallets and an option for platform lift for second level order
picking.

\"The GPC 3000 series offers a wide variety to choose from making this series
suitable for all types of order picking applications\" says Darryl Shafto, MD Goscor
Lift Truck Company. He continued to say that Crowns innovative design, advanced
technology and robust construction ensured enhanced operator productivity and safety
backed by durable equipment manufactured in Germany.

Crowns new low level order pickers offer the following features that will enhance
operator productivity:
Work AssistTM accessory program: a flexible system of features designed to enhance
convenience and safety. The extensive selection includes a clip pad, scan-gun
holder, trash bag holder and stretch foil holder, as well as a number of load trays
and storage pouches for additional items and personal effects.
Pick Position ControlTM system enables the operator to move the truck to the next
location (if the picking location is close by) without having to get on board,
eliminating the extra steps and delays needed to enter and exit the drivers
platform. The switch in the backrest is easy to reach from the outside and applies
controlled braking when released so the truck is perfectly positioned for loading.
X10 control handle - this ergonomic control handle can be operated from the side of
the truck via a thumb switch speeding the picking process.
Fold-down step - a safe and cost-effective method of reaching tall loads or goods
stored up to a height of two metres. This helps the operator to pick rapidly and
efficiently as well as allowing for greater cube utilisation within the warehouse.
Crowns engineers paid particular attention to the reduction of fatigue while
maximizing operator comfort. The floorboard on the GPC 3000 Series has been designed
to make entry and exit as easy as walking through an open door. A wide walk-through
area with contoured surfaces and a low step height of 130 mm helps achieve this. In
addition, a contoured backrest, cushioned kneepad and a fully suspended floorboard
increase comfort and reduce fatigue throughout the work shift.

\"Productivity can be further improved by choosing the right truck for the
application from the GPC 3000 Series.\" Says Shafto. \"For frequent mid-level picking
tasks, Crown offers a platform lift option while for heavy or bulky products the
single or double length lifting fork models position the forks at the right height
to prevent the operator from having to lift and bend unnecessarily. All models have
been designed with ergonomic, efficient and safe operation as their priority.\"

State-of-the art technology used for the GPC 3000 series increase performance and
offers further potential for productivity gains. Operators could save valuable time
through smooth acceleration coupled with effortless, precise, electronic steering,
which will increase efficiency.

The e-GenTM Braking System is a maintenance free braking system providing consistent
reliable long-term performance.

Environmental and economic considerations required the engineers to decrease energy
consumption while significantly increasing performance levels. These conflicting
goals were met through the combination of the Access 1 2 3 Comprehensive System
Control and efficient AC motors. Access 1 2 3 provides safe operational control and
industry-leading diagnostics. The system continuously analyse factors that influence
performance, safety and energy use, such as load, travel speed and steering angle.
The intuitive display provides operators and service engineers with valuable
information such as system status, instructions and adjustable performance settings.
The InfoPointTM system enhances this diagnostic system with an easy to follow
troubleshooting process ensuring a unique place for the GPC 3000 series in the low
level order picking market.
